....to the Ogema Public Library, located in a renovated, century-old building on Ogema's main street, also known as Highway 86.

The Ogema Lion's Club was instrumental in establishing the first library in 1973, then called "The Book Shelf, in the former Standard Service Station.They meet the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of every month in the Community Room located at the back of the library.

The American Legion Post #407 meets the 2nd Thursday of every month.

Senior meals are also being served Monday through Thursday. A 24 hour notice is needed if you are interested in a meal.

Please call the library during regular hours for information regarding rental of the Community Room.

Ogema, population 882,  is located in southern Price County near "Tim's Hill," the highest point in Wisconsin.

We now have automatic door openers installed to the main entrance doors of the Library and the Community Center, which is at the back of the Library building.

Friends of the Ogema Public Library is a group of volunteers that helps out with projects that benefit the library.

Join us here at the Ogema Library for a Summer Reading Program every Thursday starting the 7th of July for the Summer Reading Program as we celebrate the Summer theme "One World, Many Stories" from 2pm to 3:30pm. More information.

Our library offers educational, informational and recreational materials in a wide variety of formats. In addition to books you will find:

  • Magazines for children and adults.

  • Newspapers (Phillips Bee, Medford Star News, Elderhostel)

  • Large-print books

  • Audio books for children and adults

  • Videos (classics, popular and instructional) & DVD's

  • Computers for internet access

  • Children's Storytime Bags.
