...to the Ogema Public Library, located in a renovated, century-old building on Ogema's main street, also known as Highway 86.

The Ogema Lion's Club was instrumental in establishing the first library in 1973, then called "The Book Shelf, in the former Standard Service Station.

Ogema, population 882,  is located in southern Price County near "Tim's Hill," the highest point in Wisconsin.

** This month (August) we are having automatic door openers installed to the main entrance doors of the Library and the Community Center, which is at the back of the Library building. **

Friends of the Ogema Public Library is a group of volunteers that helps out with projects that benefit the library.

Our library offers educational, informational and recreational materials in a wide variety of formats. In addition to books you will find:

  • Magazines for children and adults. We also receive "The Finnish American" newspaper, which is written in Finnish.

  • Newspapers (Phillips Bee, Medford Star News, Elderhostel)

  • Large-print books

  • Audio books for children and adults

  • Videos (classics, popular and instructional) & DVD's

  • Computers for internet access

  • Children's Storytime Bags.
